Vaccines
- Our staff will attempt to track down vaccines on your behalf as a courtesy although; it is ultimately the owner’s responsibility to provide proof of your pet’s vaccination history and renewal before dropping off any guest. Vaccines can be provided in person or electronically on the website.
- By Louisiana State law, we may not admit dogs that are not current on their rabies vaccinations. Therefore, no dogs will be permitted at Petite Paws without proof of a current rabies vaccination.
- While the law does not require distemper/parvo, bordetella and canine influenza vaccines, we require that all dogs attending our facility remain current on these vaccinations, and we reserve the right to deny admission to any dog whose mandatory vaccinations are not up to date.
- A complete list of our required vaccines for canine and feline guests are listed on our website and may change in the future and if they do, there will be communication.
- Guests needing updated vaccines should receive those at least 2 weeks prior to their stay.

For those needing your pet to stay longer, remember during peak season we may not be able accommodate you due to that we usually have a waiting list. Please consider any delays in your trip when making your pets' reservation.
Holidays
- As you can imagine, holidays are a very busy time here at Petite Paws. We usually have a full house which means we have a lot of 4-legged guests to care for. We have a wonderful staff who work tirelessly during our holidays to care for all of our guests.
- To show our appreciation to them we choose to close our OFFICE ONLY for seven major holidays per year (New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day).
- By having our office closed we do not allow any drop off or pick ups, but rest assured that our staff is still their caring for our guests. We are able to modify our schedule that day to allow our staff some much needed holiday time.
Weather
- In the case of inclement weather, it is the owner's responsibility to stay informed about the conditions and decide whether early pickup plans are preferable. We will closely monitor the weather, and if conditions worsen to a point where it's deemed unsafe for our staff, the office may temporarily close. In such situations, you won't be able to retrieve your pet(s) until the office reopens. Please be assured that your pets will receive proper care throughout these circumstances.
- Kindly note that you will incur charges for the extra nights your pet stays with us. However, any additional services they may be enrolled in will not be billed for the days when the office is closed.
